Generally speaking, US nanny referral agencies do not participate in the Au Pair Programs. To legally bring an au pair into the United States from abroad, you must work with one of the US government authorized agencies listed below. If you are seeking work abroad, there are several international resources listed below.

Non-AuPair Resources

• 4nannies.com is the original online nanny service. They accept job postings globally, as well as candidates from around the world. They are not a US authorized Au Pair agency. Candidates seeking work abroad may preview their international job openings at their website.
• InterExchange: Work Abroad places U.S. citizens between the ages of 18 - 26 in au pair positions in France, Spain, Holland, and Germany.
• EUROMA,a member of IAPA, International Au Pair Association places U.S. citizens between the ages of 18 - 26 in au pair positions in Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Holland, Ireland, Austria and Germany.
• BestBear for Childcare: provides a searchable directory of agencies placing nannies in the UK. Service has an investigative and rating system for agencies. Everything you want to know about hiring or being a nanny in the UK.
• Immigration Lawyers on the Web: This web site features information about US attorneys specializing in immigration issues. US families considering hiring from abroad without using one of the US government authorized Au Pair agencies are referred to this site for information about legal immigration and sponsorship.
